Meta. The "name" in Acts 4:12 ("Neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved") means authority, or that which unites the right and the power of control. Jesus Christ, by taking upon Himself the sins of the flesh and demonstrating over them, instilled within the heart of the race both the understanding and the force that are today leading mankind out of sin and darkness and death into purity, light, and life everlasting.
