Metaphysical meaning of Sabtah (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Sabtah (mbd)
Sabtah, sab'-tah (Heb).--determining motion, a turn; orbit; circuit; course of action; striking; stroke; rock.

Son of Cush, who was a son of Ham and grandson of Noah (Gen. 10:7). In I Chronicles 1:9, the name is spelled Sabta.

Meta. The general cyclical trend of activity of the sensual in man (orbit, circuit, course of action). Led away by outer seeming, through exercise of personal will man has set up a course of action in sense consciousness that falls short of the divine ideal and is contentious and destructive (determining motion, striking, stroke, rock; see CUSH and HAM.)
