Metaphysical meaning of Peleth (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Peleth (mbd)
Peleth, pe'-leth (Heb.)--swiftness; speed; dispatch; haste; flight; escape; freedom; separation; distinction.

a Father of On of the tribe of Reuben (Num. 16:1). b A son of Jonathan of the tribe of Judah (I Chron. 2:33).

Meta. Swift, active, separating, discriminating, freeing thoughts (swiftness, speed, haste, freedom, escape, separation, distinction, a Reubenite, Reuben referring to inspiration, sight, but more of the outer man, and a man of Judah) that tend to eliminate error. These thoughts, however, must become more redemptive in their activities, that they may really serve to establish the individual in Truth. (A son of one of the men named Peleth joined in the rebellion against Moses; see Numbers, 16th chapter.)
