Metaphysical meaning of Keros (mbd)

Metaphysical meaning of Keros (mbd)
Keros, ke'-ros (Heb.)--bent; curved; bowed; a weaver's comb; a curved joint; a hook; bowed down; contrition; collapse.

One of the Nethinim whose "children" returned from the Babylonian captivity with Zerubbabel (Ezra 2:44).

Meta. An idea of service, in the religious phase of man's consciousness and body, that is bowed d own under the thought of repentance (contrition), to the point of great negativeness (collapse). Thus this service idea, which is good inherently, is biased, turned away (bent, curved) from the positive purity, simplicity, and strength of Truth, and is kept from rising to a higher, freer state, even to that of sonship with God. (See NETHINIM.)
