Metaphysical meaning of Hamathite (mbd)
Hamathite, ha'-math-lte (fr. Heb.)--of or belonging to Hamath.
A descendant of Canaan the son of Ham (Gen. 10:18). It is thought that descendants of Canaan settled in Hamath; thus a Hamathite would also be an inhabitant of Hamath.
Meta. A thought or tendency in man that belongs to the body consciousness (Canaan), or to the Hamath consciousness (confidence in materiality, and its results).
