The first book of the Bible; it begins with an account of creation, of the beginning of manifest man and the manifest universe; the Hebrew name is Sepher Berashith, book of creations book of first causes, book of unfolding or manifesting of elemental principles, book of emanations.
Meta. Genesis points to the new birth and to the perfection of man in the regeneration.
