Metaphysical meaning of Eliada (mbd)

Eliada, e-ll'-a-da (Heb.)--God knows; God of knowledge; power of understanding; known of God.

a A son of David (II Sam. 5:16); he is called Beeliada in I Chronicles 14:7. b A Benjamite, a mighty man of valor in the reign of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah (II Chron. 17:17).

Meta. Man's awakening, through the consciousness of love and active faith (David and Benjamin), to the understanding that God, Divine Mind, is the source of all knowing, of all knowledge. The loving (David) thought in this awakening bespeaks the idea that God cares, as well as knows.
